Description

Smash Chicken Caesar Tacos combine crispy smashed chicken patties with creamy Caesar salad in warm tortillas for a flavorful, satisfying twist on traditional tacos.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
  • 1/4 cup crushed croutons (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Divide into 8 equal portions and flatten into thin patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil. Place chicken patties in the skillet and press down with a spatula to smash.
  3. Cook without moving for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook until fully cooked through.
  4. While chicken cooks, toss chopped romaine with Caesar dressing in a bowl.
  5. Warm tortillas on a dry skillet or over low flame until soft and slightly charred.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing a smashed chicken patty on each tortilla, topping with Caesar slaw, Parmesan, and crushed croutons (if using).
  7. Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon on top.

Notes

  • Don’t over-handle the chicken when forming patties to prevent them from falling apart.
  • Use a thick, garlicky Caesar dressing for bold flavor.
  • Store leftover chicken patties separately to maintain crispiness.
  • Add avocado for an indulgent variation.
  • Assemble tacos just before serving for best texture.
