Description

This Keto TikTok Cajun Sausage and Cabbage Alfredo is a flavorful, low-carb meal featuring spicy turkey sausage, tender cabbage, and a creamy Parmesan Alfredo sauce. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner, it combines Cajun spices with rich creaminess for a satisfying keto-friendly dish.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 14 ounces Turkey sausage, sliced
  • 6 tbsp Butter, divided (2 tbsp and 4 tbsp)
  • 1/2 Onion, chopped
  • 3 tsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 5 cups Chopped Cabbage
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to prepare for browning the sausage.
  2. Sear sausage: Add the sliced turkey sausage to the skillet and brown on all sides. Once browned, remove the sausage and set it aside.
  3. Saute onions: In the same skillet, lower heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in the chopped onions and sauté until softened and translucent.
  4. Add cabbage and seasoning: Add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, then stir in the chopped cabbage. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the cabbage and mix well.
  5. Add cream and simmer: Pour in the heavy whipping cream and stir to combine all ingredients. Cover the skillet and let it simmer until the cabbage becomes tender.
  6. Thicken sauce: Remove the lid, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir well and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens to a creamy consistency.
  7. Combine and serve: Return the browned sausage to the skillet, stir to mix everything evenly, and serve warm for a hearty keto meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute turkey sausage with any preferred sausage for variation.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning according to your spice tolerance for a milder or spicier dish.
  • For extra flavor, add minced garlic with the onions during the sauté step.
  • If the sauce is too thick, thin it with a splash of chicken broth or water.
  • This dish is ideal for a low-carb or keto diet and reheats well for leftovers.
