Ingredients
Fudge Base
- 18 ounces white chocolate chips
- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Orange gel food coloring (optional)
Decoration
- Halloween sprinkles/candy for decorating (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with foil, allowing enough foil to hang over the edges to create handles. Spray the foil-lined pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and set aside.
- Melt Ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. Take care not to burn the chocolate.
- Add Flavorings: Stir in orange extract, vanilla extract, and optionally add orange gel food coloring to achieve desired color. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Pour and Decorate: Pour the fudge mixture evenly into the prepared pan, spreading it smoothly with a spatula. If desired, sprinkle Halloween-themed sprinkles or candy on top for a festive look.
- Chill: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for several hours, preferably at least 3-4 hours, until the fudge is fully set and firm.
- Serve: Use the foil handles to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve chilled for best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Melting white chocolate requires careful attention to avoid burning, stir frequently when microwaving.
- Orange gel food coloring is optional but provides a bright, festive color to the fudge.
- This fudge is best stored in the refrigerator and consumed within 1 week for optimal freshness.
- For a firmer texture, chill overnight.
- You can substitute orange extract with fresh orange zest for a natural flavor variation.
