Ingredients
Vegetables
- 3 medium tomatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 English cucumber (or 3-4 small cucumbers), halved and sliced
- 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
Dressing
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 4 Tbsp sour cream
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
- 1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions
- Cut the Vegetables: Prepare the tomatoes by cutting them into 1-inch pieces. Slice the cucumbers in half lengthwise, then slice them thinly. Thinly slice half a medium onion. Combine all these prepared vegetables in a medium bowl.
- Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream, optional mayonnaise, minced garlic, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
- Combine and Serve: Pour the creamy dressing over the mixed vegetables and toss gently to coat everything evenly. Add salt to taste just before serving to enhance the flavors.
Notes
- Mayonnaise is optional; omit for a lighter, tangier dressing.
- For extra freshness, chill the salad in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before serving.
- Use English cucumbers for fewer seeds and a milder flavor.
- Adjust garlic and pepper quantities according to taste preferences.
- Suitable as a side dish for grilled meats or sandwiches.
