Ingredients
Dip
- 1 (12.3-oz) round brie cheese, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded white cheddar
- 1 sprig rosemary
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Drizzle of honey for garnish
Biscuits
- 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuits
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare biscuits: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cut each biscuit in half and roll the halves into balls. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with freshly chopped parsley. Arrange the biscuit balls in a ring around the edge of a medium oven-safe skillet, brush them generously with the butter-parsley mixture, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Prepare brie and bake: Place the brie wheel in the center of the biscuit ring. Using a paring knife, carefully remove the top rind of the brie to expose the creamy interior. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until the brie is melted and soft.
- Add toppings and continue baking: Remove the skillet from the oven and spoon the cranberry sauce and shredded white cheddar onto the melted brie. Gently fold the ingredients together without breaking the biscuits. Smooth the cheese mixture into an even layer and top with the rosemary sprig. Return the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheddar is melted.
- Garnish and serve: Drizzle the melted cheese and biscuit dip with honey for a touch of sweetness. Serve hot and enjoy this comforting, flavorful appetizer.
Notes
- Make sure the brie is at room temperature for even melting.
- Removing the top rind of the brie helps the cheese melt smoothly and blend with the toppings.
- If you don’t have shredded white cheddar, feel free to substitute with another mild white cheese like mozzarella or fontina.
- Use a medium oven-safe skillet or baking dish to hold the biscuit ring and brie during baking.
- For a festive touch, you can garnish with extra fresh parsley or rosemary sprigs before serving.
