Description

This Big Mac Wrap recipe delivers all the classic flavors of a Big Mac burger in a convenient, handheld wrap form. Featuring seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, tangy pickles, melty cheese, and the iconic Big Mac sauce wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, this dish is perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner. Optional toasting adds a delightful crunch to the wrap, making it a crowd-pleaser for fans of the beloved fast-food favorite.

Ingredients

For the Wraps:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or lean)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • ¼ cup sliced dill pickles
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas (or low-carb wraps)

For the Big Mac Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of paprika

Optional Add-ins:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Shredded cheddar
  • Sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef seasoned with salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Break the meat apart with a spatula and continue cooking until fully browned. Drain any excess fat to keep the wraps from becoming greasy.
  2. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of paprika until smooth. Set the sauce aside or refrigerate to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Warm the Tortillas: Gently heat the tortillas either by microwaving for 10 to 15 seconds or warming briefly in a dry skillet to increase pliability and prevent tearing during assembly.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of the prepared Big Mac sauce onto the center of each warm tortilla. Layer shredded lettuce, a slice of American or cheddar cheese, the cooked beef, diced onions, and pickle slices on top of the sauce. Roll each tortilla tightly like a burrito, making sure the filling is enclosed securely.
  5. Optional – Toast the Wraps: For extra texture and flavor, place the assembled wraps seam-side down on a hot dry skillet or sandwich press. Toast for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until the tortilla turns golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve: Slice the wraps in half diagonally and serve warm. Offer additional Big Mac sauce on the side for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute low-carb or whole wheat tortillas to make the wraps healthier.
  • Drain excess fat from the beef to avoid sogginess and excess grease in the wrap.
  • Feel free to add sliced jalapeños or extra shredded cheddar for a spicier and cheesier version.
  • The Big Mac sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
  • To prevent tortillas from tearing, warm them before assembling the wraps.
