Description

This easy and healthy Air Fryer Salmon recipe delivers perfectly cooked salmon filets with a flavorful garlic and paprika rub. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s an ideal weeknight dinner that’s tender, flaky, and served with fresh lemon slices for a bright finish.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 2 6 oz salmon filets
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2-3 slices of lemon (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Rub the olive oil evenly over the surface of each salmon filet. Then, coat the flesh side of the filets with minced garlic, paprika (if using), sea salt, and black pepper to ensure maximum flavor.
  2. Preheat the air fryer: If your air fryer requires preheating, set it to 390°F (199°C) and allow it to heat up. Optionally, spray the air fryer basket with a non-aerosol cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Cook the salmon: Place the salmon filets in the air fryer basket skin side down. Air fry at 390°F for 10-12 minutes, depending on filet thickness, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Rest the salmon: Carefully remove the cooked salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute for tender results.
  5. Serve: Serve each salmon filet with 1-2 slices of fresh lemon and your choice of side dishes for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary based on the thickness and size of salmon filets; check for doneness early to avoid overcooking.
  • Using fresh garlic and optional paprika enhances the flavor but can be adjusted based on preference.
  • Skin-on salmon filets help keep the fish moist during cooking but can be removed before serving if desired.
  • Resting the salmon after cooking improves juiciness and texture.
