Tomato, Peach, & Burrata Salad with Hot Honey Sauce is a bright, flavorful salad that combines juicy peaches and heirloom tomatoes with creamy burrata cheese, all elevated by a spicy and sweet hot honey dressing. Perfect for a light appetizer, side dish, or even a refreshing main course, this salad is quick to prepare and bursting with fresh summer flavors.
Ingredients
For the Hot Honey Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Favorite hot sauce (I like Tabasco)
- 2 tsp Unseasoned rice vinegar
- 2 tsp Honey
- Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
For the Salad
- 3 ripe Peaches, cut into wedges
- 2 large Heirloom tomatoes, sliced thinly
- 1 8 oz Ball of burrata or fresh mozzarella
- Fresh herbs, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Hot Honey Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, hot sauce, rice vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper until well combined, creating a balanced hot honey dressing.
- Marinate Peaches and Tomatoes: Place the peach wedges and sliced heirloom tomatoes in a large bowl. Pour half of the hot honey sauce over them, gently tossing to coat. Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Assemble the Salad: Transfer the marinated peaches and tomatoes onto a serving platter. Tear or slice the burrata cheese and arrange it on top of the fruit.
- Finish and Garnish: Drizzle the remaining hot honey sauce over the burrata and fruit. Garnish with fresh herbs to add a fragrant touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing combination of flavors.
Notes
- Use ripe, juicy peaches and flavorful heirloom tomatoes for the best taste and texture.
- If burrata is unavailable, fresh mozzarella is a good substitute.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to suit your preferred spice level.
- This salad is best served fresh but can be prepared shortly ahead of time and refrigerated.
- Fresh herbs like basil, mint, or thyme work wonderfully as garnishes.
