Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and cut the russet potatoes into thin round slices, placing them into a large bowl to prepare for soaking.
- Soak with Ice Water: Fill the bowl with enough water to cover the potatoes and add 2 cups of ice. Let the potatoes soak for about 30 minutes. This step helps remove excess starch, resulting in crispier potatoes.
- Dry the Potatoes: After soaking, remove the potato slices from the water and pat them thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure they roast properly without steaming.
