Description

These Monster Cookie Protein Balls are a delicious and easy no-bake treat packed with oats, peanut butter, protein powder, and chocolate. Perfect for a quick energy boost or a healthy dessert, they combine wholesome ingredients with the nostalgic flavors of candy-coated chocolates and mini chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup candy coated chocolates (like mini M&Ms)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons water (plus extra as needed)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the oats, peanut butter, protein powder, honey, and water to a food processor. Pulse for 20-30 seconds until the mixture becomes soft and sticky, with some oat pieces still visible, which is normal.
  2. Add Chocolates: Remove the blade from the food processor, then stir in the mini chocolate chips and candy coated chocolates until evenly distributed.
  3. Form Balls: Use a small cookie scoop (~2 tablespoons) to portion the mixture evenly. With clean hands, gently roll each portion into a ball. Adjust texture by adding water or oats as needed for the right consistency.
  4. Store or Serve: Enjoy immediately or store the protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for up to one month.

Notes

  • If the mixture is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time to help bind it better.
  • If the mixture is too wet, add oats one tablespoon at a time to firm it up.
  • You can substitute peanut butter with any other creamy nut butter if desired.
  • These protein balls are perfect as a quick snack, pre/post workout fuel, or a healthier dessert option.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness and texture.
