Ingredients
Simple Syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water (divided from total)
Lemonade
- 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (seeds removed, pulp optional)
- 5 cups water (divided from total)
Instructions
- Prepare Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low, stirring continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Mix Lemon Juice and Syrup: Pour 1 cup of fresh-squeezed lemon juice into a pitcher. Add the cooled simple syrup to the lemon juice, mixing well to combine.
- Add Remaining Water and Serve: Pour in the remaining 5 cups of water and stir thoroughly. Serve over ice immediately or refrigerate for several hours to chill before serving.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar depending on your taste preference.
- To add a twist, garnish your lemonade with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices.
- If you prefer pulp-free lemonade, strain the lemon juice before mixing.

- For a sparkling version, substitute still water with sparkling water.
