Ingredients
Pizza Base
- 1 loaf Rhodes white bread (thawed)
Sauce
- ½ jar of white sauce (Alfredo or garlic parmesan, or similar)
- Garlic salt (optional, to taste)
Cheese Toppings
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it is hot enough for baking the pizza, which will help achieve a crispy crust and melted cheese.
- Prepare Dough Base: Roll out the thawed Rhodes white bread dough onto a greased pizza pan, shaping it into a large circle to create your pizza crust.
- Pre-bake Dough: Bake the dough in the oven for 5 minutes to partially cook it and create a firm, crispy crust. Once done, remove it from the oven and evenly spread the white sauce over the dough surface, leaving a 1-inch border free around the edge for the crust. Optionally sprinkle garlic salt over the sauce for added flavor.
- Add Cheese Toppings: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese in a circular area in the middle of the pizza. Then surround this mozzarella center with the cheddar cheese, creating a colorful bullseye pattern reminiscent of candy corn.
- Final Bake: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 12 minutes, or until the cheese in the center is bubbling and the crust has turned a golden brown color.
- Serving: Slice the pizza and serve warm for best taste and texture.
Notes
- Ensure the dough is completely thawed before rolling it out to prevent tearing and to ensure even cooking.
- You can substitute the white sauce with your favorite creamy sauce, such as a garlic parmesan or Alfredo.
- To enhance flavor, garlic salt is optional but recommended for a subtle garlic kick.
- If preferred, add herbs like oregano or basil on top before baking for added aroma.
- Keep an eye on the pizza during the final bake to avoid over-browning the crust.
