Description

This zesty slow cooker chicken barbecue is an easy, flavorful, and hands-off recipe made with tender shredded chicken, tangy BBQ sauce, and spices. Perfect for sandwiches, wraps, rice bowls, and meal prep, this comforting pulled chicken is a crowd-pleasing slow cooker classic!


Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • Italian dressing
  • Brown sugar
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s fully coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is fork-tender.
  5. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks, then stir into the sauce.
  6. Serve hot on buns, over rice, in wraps, tacos, or however you like.
