Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 head green cabbage, chopped
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 3/4 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned and no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and uncooked rice. Mix well to combine.
- Pour in beef broth, ensuring the mixture is evenly moistened. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 25-30 minutes or until rice and cabbage are tender.
- Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes before serving.
