Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or tomato sauce with Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup dry milk powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, dry milk powder, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  3. Add warm water and oil, then mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead dough until smooth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  5. While dough rests, cook ground beef and onions in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.
  6. Roll out dough and press into a greased sheet pan.
  7. Spread pizza sauce over the dough.
  8. Evenly distribute the meat mixture on top.
  9. Layer with American cheese slices, then top with shredded mozzarella.
  10. Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  11. Let cool slightly before slicing into rectangles.
