Description

Tender beef is cooked in garlic butter and glazed with a sweet and smoky honey-BBQ sauce, then tucked into soft tortillas with cheese and a creamy drizzle for a flavor-packed taco night favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef strips
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup honey BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 soft taco tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise (for creamy drizzle)
  • 1 Tbsp honey (for creamy drizzle)
  • 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce (for creamy drizzle)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (for creamy drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the beef and cook until browned and fully done. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika to make a creamy drizzle.
  5. Warm the tortillas. Spoon beef mixture into each tortilla, drizzle with the creamy sauce, sprinkle cheese, and top with cilantro if desired.
  6. Fold tortillas and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute the beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Top with lettuce or tortilla strips for added crunch.
  • Use Monterey Jack or queso fresco as cheese alternatives.
  • Use lettuce wraps instead of tortillas for a low-carb version.
