Description
A spicy, tangy sandwich with buffalo‑sauce coated chicken, lettuce, tomato, and creamy blue cheese or ranch sauce on a bun
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 5 oz each)
- 1 cup Buffalo wing sauce
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 4 slices tomato
- ¼ cup blue cheese dressing (or ranch / blue cheese mix)
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine the Buffalo sauce and melted butter.
- Brush or toss the chicken breasts in the buffalo‑butter sauce.
- Cook chicken until internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C), turning and basting with sauce as needed.
- Lightly toast or grill the buns.
- Assemble sandwiches: on bottom bun place lettuce, tomato, then chicken, drizzle or spread blue cheese dressing, top with bun.
Notes
- You can substitute ranch dressing or a yogurt‑blue cheese mix for lighter sauce.
- To reduce sogginess, toast buns well.
- If you don’t have a grill, cook chicken in a skillet or bake in the oven.
- Adjust the amount of Buffalo sauce to control spiciness.
