Description

Oven‑baked turkey wings seasoned with spices, baked low and slow with onions, garlic, and broth for tender, crispy results.


Ingredients

  • 34 turkey wings, separated at the joints
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon thyme (dried or fresh)
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and thyme.
  3. Pat wings dry, rub with olive oil or butter, and coat with spice mixture.
  4. Place chopped onions and minced garlic in bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Lay seasoned wings on top. Pour broth around (not over) wings.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Remove foil and bake uncovered for 30 more minutes until crispy and browned.
  8. Optional: Broil for 3–5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.

  • Use fresh thyme for a more aromatic finish.
  • Broil briefly at the end for ultra‑crispy skin.
  • Add potatoes or carrots to the dish for a one‑pan meal.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for 1 month.
