Description

Ridiculously easy and irresistibly rich microwave peanut butter fudge made with just six ingredients—perfect for a quick sweet treat or edible gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1½ cups creamy peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3¼ cups powdered sugar (sifted for best texture)
  • 1 tablespoon water (to help parchment stick in pan)
  • Optional: red and green M&Ms, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, or peanut butter chips for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut two pieces of parchment paper: one to line an 8×8-inch pan with overhang, the other to place on top of the fudge later.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of water to the pan and line it with the larger parchment piece.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and peanut butter. Microwave for 60 seconds, then stir until smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, stirring until smooth and lump-free.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan with a spatula.
  7. Place the second parchment piece on top and gently press to smooth the surface.
  8. Refrigerate for 2 hours until firm.
  9. Remove top parchment, pre-score the fudge into squares, then lift out using the parchment overhang.
  10. Warm a sharp knife under hot water, dry, and slice the fudge cleanly into squares.
  11. Optionally, top each square with 2–3 red and green M&Ms or other garnishes.

Notes

  • Sifting powdered sugar helps achieve a smoother texture.
  • Do not use natural peanut butter—it may make the fudge oily.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Use different peanut butter brands for subtle changes in flavor and color.
