Description

This Mango Habanero Honey Garlic Sauce is a bold, flavorful blend of sweet mango, spicy habanero, rich honey, and savory garlic. Perfect as a glaze, dip, or marinade, it’s a versatile sauce that adds tropical heat and sweetness to any dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 large mango (fresh or 1 cup frozen, peeled and chopped)
  • 2 habanero peppers (seeded for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced or crushed)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add chopped mango, habanero peppers, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, and salt.
  4. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until mango is soft and mixture thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Blend the mixture until smooth using a blender or immersion blender.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more honey or lime juice if needed.
  8. Store in a jar or bottle once cooled.

Notes

  • For extra zing, add grated ginger.
  • Roast mango and habanero for a smokier flavor.
  • Reduce habaneros or use jalapeños for a milder sauce.
  • Use agave syrup instead of honey to make it vegan.
  • Simmer longer or add cornstarch slurry for a thicker consistency.
