Description

Ingredients

  • For the Crust:
  • 1 box lemon cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Filling:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 egg
  • Optional Topping:
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix lemon cake mix, egg, and melted butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, zest, and egg. Mix until creamy.
  4. Pour the lemon filling over the crust and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing.
