Description

Ingredients

  • 34 fresh ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan or 8×8 square baking dish.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in half of the sliced peaches.
