Description

A fun and edible Ice Cream Play Dough made with just two ingredients. Perfect for safe and imaginative play for kids, mimicking real ice cream with a soft, colorful texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pre-made frosting (any flavor or color)
  • 2¾ cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Add the powdered sugar to the frosting gradually using a mixer with a dough hook attachment, scraping the bowl sides as needed.
  2. Continue adding powdered sugar until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency. Add more sugar if it’s sticky.
  3. Roll the dough into a ball. If it’s too dry, sprinkle with a little olive oil to adjust texture.
  4. Use ice cream scoops and cones to shape and play with the dough.

Notes

  • Use regular frosting, not whipped or light versions.
  • Mixing by hand is possible but requires more effort.
  • Always supervise toddlers during play.
  • Store in a zip-top bag in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Add food coloring or edible glitter for extra fun.
