Description
Hot Honey Salmon Bites are bite-sized pieces of salmon seasoned with paprika, garlic, and onion powders, then air-fried or baked to perfection and coated in a buttery hot honey glaze. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or main dish.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- ¼ cup hot honey
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 390 °F (200 °C).
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add salmon cubes and toss to coat evenly.
- Arrange salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Air-fry for 9–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 140–145 °F (60–63 °C).
- Meanwhile, melt butter and hot honey in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed. Turn off heat.
- Once cooked, toss salmon bites in the hot honey glaze to coat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
- Oven method: Preheat oven to 400 °F (205 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer and bake for 16 minutes, flipping halfway. Toss in glaze and serve.
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to glaze for extra heat.
- Use regular honey for a milder version.
- Serve over rice, in tacos or wraps, or toss with pasta or grain bowls.
- Store salmon and glaze separately in airtight containers in fridge for 2–3 days.
- Reheat in air fryer or oven for best texture.
