Description

Hot Honey Salmon Bites are bite-sized pieces of salmon seasoned with paprika, garlic, and onion powders, then air-fried or baked to perfection and coated in a buttery hot honey glaze. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¼ cup hot honey
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390 °F (200 °C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add salmon cubes and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Arrange salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Air-fry for 9–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 140–145 °F (60–63 °C).
  4. Meanwhile, melt butter and hot honey in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed. Turn off heat.
  5. Once cooked, toss salmon bites in the hot honey glaze to coat.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
  7. Oven method: Preheat oven to 400 °F (205 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer and bake for 16 minutes, flipping halfway. Toss in glaze and serve.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to glaze for extra heat.
  • Use regular honey for a milder version.
  • Serve over rice, in tacos or wraps, or toss with pasta or grain bowls.
  • Store salmon and glaze separately in airtight containers in fridge for 2–3 days.
  • Reheat in air fryer or oven for best texture.
