Description

A vibrant and refreshing Honey Lime Fruit Salad combining a medley of tropical fruits with a zesty honey lime poppy seed dressing, perfect for a healthy, quick, and colorful treat.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 mangos, peeled and diced
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 lb fresh pineapple, diced
  • 12 oz blueberries
  • 12 oz grapes, halved
  • 4 kiwis, peeled and diced
  • 2 bananas, sliced (added just before serving)

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Zest of 2 medium limes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Make the dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lime zest, lime juice, and poppy seeds until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Set aside this flavorful dressing.
  2. Combine the main fruits. Add the diced mangos, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, halved grapes, and diced kiwis into a large mixing bowl. Gently toss the fruits to evenly distribute them without bruising.
  3. Add bananas before serving. Just prior to serving, slice the bananas and add them to the bowl with the other fruits to prevent browning and maintain freshness.
  4. Toss with dressing and serve. Pour the honey lime dressing over the combined fruit and gently toss until all pieces are evenly coated with the dressing. Serve the salad immediately to enjoy the freshest flavors.

Notes

  • For best results, add bananas last to avoid browning.
  • Use fresh, ripe fruit for optimal sweetness and texture.
  • This salad is best served immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 2 hours.
  • Feel free to substitute fruits based on seasonality or preference.
