Description

Garbage Bread is a savory, comforting dish filled with ground beef and melty cheeses wrapped in soft pizza dough, baked to golden perfection. It’s a hearty, crowd-pleasing option perfect for casual dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick Grill Mates Hamburger Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (13.8 oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
  • Everything bagel seasoning (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked beef with hamburger seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and Velveeta. Stir until cheese begins to melt and is evenly combined.
  4. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a 15×10-inch rectangle.
  5. Spread beef and cheese mixture over dough, leaving a border around edges. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge, jelly-roll style. Seal the edges and ends. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
  7. Brush top with water or melted butter and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and filling is bubbly.
  9. Cool slightly, slice thick, and serve warm with dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Try different cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack for variety.
  • Add sautéed vegetables like onions or peppers for more flavor.
  • Ground turkey or sausage can substitute for beef.
  • Can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen before baking.
