Description

These Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers are juicy, flavorful, and infused with a rich garlic-parmesan butter sauce. Perfect for grilling, baking, or air-frying, they make a delicious appetizer or main dish that’s always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast cut into 3‑inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 stick butter
  • 810 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup Parmesan, grated
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Cut chicken into 3‑inch pieces and toss with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Thread the chicken onto the soaked skewers, packing them tightly.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic, Parmesan, hot sauce (if using), red pepper flakes, and parsley. Simmer briefly.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F or grill/oven to 350–400°F.
  6. Cook the skewers: In the air fryer, cook 12–14 minutes total—5 minutes, flip and baste, 2 minutes, baste again, then another 5–6 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F. On grill/oven, cook similarly, basting frequently.
  7. Once cooked, brush skewers with more garlic-parmesan sauce, sprinkle with extra Parmesan, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness or breasts for a leaner option.
  • Add lemon juice or zest to the butter sauce for brightness.
  • Double the red pepper flakes or add chili crisp for more heat.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3–4 days in an airtight container.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F for 3–5 minutes for best texture.
  • Soak wooden skewers to prevent burning during cooking.
  • Freeze cooked skewers for up to 2 months and reheat as needed.
