These Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers are juicy, flavorful, and infused with a rich garlic-parmesan butter sauce. Perfect for grilling, baking, or air-frying, they make a delicious appetizer or main dish that’s always a hit.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast cut into 3‑inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 stick butter
- 8–10 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup Parmesan, grated
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
- 2 tsp red pepper flakes
- ⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Cut chicken into 3‑inch pieces and toss with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Thread the chicken onto the soaked skewers, packing them tightly.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic, Parmesan, hot sauce (if using), red pepper flakes, and parsley. Simmer briefly.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F or grill/oven to 350–400°F.
- Cook the skewers: In the air fryer, cook 12–14 minutes total—5 minutes, flip and baste, 2 minutes, baste again, then another 5–6 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F. On grill/oven, cook similarly, basting frequently.
- Once cooked, brush skewers with more garlic-parmesan sauce, sprinkle with extra Parmesan, and serve hot.

- Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness or breasts for a leaner option.
- Add lemon juice or zest to the butter sauce for brightness.
- Double the red pepper flakes or add chili crisp for more heat.
