Garlic Butter Tortellini in Creamy Sauce with Beef, Italian Sausage, and Spinach is a rich and hearty comfort dish featuring cheese-filled tortellini, a creamy garlic sauce, savory meats, and fresh spinach.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage (mild or hot)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage together until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  6. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and mix until evenly coated with the sauce.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the tortellini as it will cook further in the sauce.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
