Description

Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos are a delicious fusion of savory, sweet, and smoky flavors. Tender beef is cooked in garlic butter, coated in honey BBQ glaze, and wrapped in warm tortillas with creamy sauce and shredded cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef strips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons honey (for sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce (for sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (for sauce)
  • 6 soft taco tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef or beef strips and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Stir in honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika to make the taco sauce.
  5. Warm the tortillas and fill each with the beef mixture.
  6. Drizzle taco sauce over the beef, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and top with chopped cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground chicken or turkey for a leaner alternative.
  • Add hot sauce or cayenne for extra heat.
  • Try hard taco shells for a crunchy variation.
  • Store leftover beef in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Taco sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for 3 days.
