Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the steak pieces dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- Add steak bites in a single layer without overcrowding; sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
- Stir to coat the steak in the garlic butter; cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley if using.
- Serve hot with preferred sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add herbs like rosemary or thyme.
- Red pepper flakes can be added for heat.
- Chicken or shrimp can be substituted for steak.
- A splash of lime juice at the end adds zest.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in a skillet with a bit of butter.
