Description
Cajun Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, flavorful chunks of steak seared to perfection and tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a smoky Cajun kick. A quick and satisfying dish made in one pan.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- 1.5 lbs steak (sirloin, strip, ribeye, or preferred cut), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season generously with the Cajun spice blend.
- Heat a heavy skillet over high heat. Add vegetable oil and sear the steak bites in batches for about 2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring and scraping up any browned bits.
- Return the steak to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use store-bought Cajun seasoning for convenience.
- Adjust cayenne pepper for more or less heat.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a heartier meal.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Reheat on stovetop with a bit of butter for best results.
