Description

A simple and flavorful baked chicken dish featuring juicy boneless chicken breasts smothered in a sweet and tangy honey-Dijon sauce with garlic and rosemary, perfect for easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 4 pieces)
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp whole grain Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth until well combined.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish. Pour the sauce over them and tuck in the garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs.
  4. Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Remove from the oven, spoon extra sauce over the chicken, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve.

Notes

  • Substitute apple cider vinegar with lemon juice for a brighter flavor.
  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for juicier results.
  • Add spices like paprika, curry powder, or mustard seeds for extra depth.
  • For gluten-free, replace soy sauce with tamari.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days; reheat gently with added sauce or broth.
