Description
Soft flaky biscuit dough filled with cinnamon-spiced apple pie filling, baked golden and topped with a sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated flaky biscuit dough (10 biscuits)
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are soft, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
- Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a small circle.
- Spoon a tablespoon of the apple mixture onto the center of each biscuit circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges closed to seal.
- Place the filled biscuits seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
Notes
- You can add chopped nuts or raisins to the apple filling for extra texture.
- Substitute apples with pears or peaches for seasonal variation.
- For a richer glaze, add cream cheese or a pinch of cinnamon to the icing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in microwave for 15-20 seconds or oven at 300°F for about 5 minutes.
