Description

Soft flaky biscuit dough filled with cinnamon-spiced apple pie filling, baked golden and topped with a sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated flaky biscuit dough (10 biscuits)
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are soft, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
  3. Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a small circle.
  4. Spoon a tablespoon of the apple mixture onto the center of each biscuit circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges closed to seal.
  5. Place the filled biscuits seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.
  8. Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Notes

  • You can add chopped nuts or raisins to the apple filling for extra texture.
  • Substitute apples with pears or peaches for seasonal variation.
  • For a richer glaze, add cream cheese or a pinch of cinnamon to the icing.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat in microwave for 15-20 seconds or oven at 300°F for about 5 minutes.
