Description

A fun and easy no‑churn ice cream that captures the unique and nostalgic flavor of Dr Pepper soda.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 oz cold Dr Pepper soda
  • 2 cups cold heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Place a loaf pan and mixing bowl (with whisk or beaters) in the freezer for 30 minutes to chill.
  2. In a medium bowl, pour in the sweetened condensed milk and slowly stir in the cold Dr Pepper to minimize foam.
  3. Remove chilled bowl and equipment; pour cold heavy cream into it.
  4. Beat on medium‑high speed until slightly frothy (~1 min), then on high until stiff peaks form (~1½–2 min).
  5. Gently fold whipped cream into the Dr Pepper mixture, one cup at a time, to maintain airiness.
  6. Transfer mixture into the chilled loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Cover tightly and freeze for at least 6 hours, until firm; check at ~4 hours if desired.
  8. Scoop and serve once set.

Notes

  • Pouring the soda in slowly helps reduce bubbles and improves silky texture.
  • This is a no‑churn recipe—no ice cream maker needed.
  • Freeze time can vary by freezer; start checking firmness after ~4 hours.
  • Serve as is or make a nostalgic Dr Pepper float by adding more soda over scoops.
