Description

This Dorito Casserole is a hearty, cheesy, and crunchy dish featuring seasoned ground beef, creamy cheese sauce, and Nacho Cheese Doritos, making it a comforting and crowd-pleasing meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
  • 1 bag (9.25 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed
  • 23 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning, cheddar cheese soup, cream of chicken soup, evaporated milk, and diced green chilies. Stir and cook until heated through and combined.
  4. Layer half of the crushed Doritos in the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Spoon half of the beef mixture over Doritos and sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with remaining Doritos, beef mixture, and cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use different Dorito flavors like Cool Ranch or Spicy Nacho for variety.
  • Add black beans or corn to the meat mixture for extra texture.
  • Top with jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or green onions for added flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven to maintain crunchiness.
