Ingredients
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 small onion, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chopped onion, and 1.5 cups of cheddar cheese.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Thaw hash browns before using to ensure even cooking.
- Can be made vegetarian by using cream of mushroom or celery soup.
- Freeze leftovers for up to 2 months; thaw in fridge before reheating.
