Description

These fresh peach fritters are a golden, crispy, and sweet summer treat filled with juicy peaches and topped with a vanilla glaze. Quick to make and fried to perfection, they’re ideal for breakfast, brunch, dessert, or anytime you want a warm, fruity indulgence. A delicious way to enjoy ripe seasonal peaches!

Ingredients

  • For the fritters:
  • Fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking powder
  • Granulated sugar
  • Salt
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • Butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • For the glaze:
  • Powdered sugar
  • Milk or cream
  • Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then gently fold in diced peaches.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil using a spoon or cookie scoop.
  6. Fry for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove fritters and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. For the glaze: whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Drizzle or dip warm fritters in the glaze and let set slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Add nutmeg or cardamom for extra warm spice.
  • Leave peach skins on for rustic texture.
  • Try a mix of peaches with apples or pears for variety.
  • Dust with cinnamon sugar instead of glazing for a different finish.
  • Best served warm, but leftovers can be reheated and still taste amazing.
