Description

Deep Fried Pizza Sticks with Mozzarella are a crispy, cheesy twist on traditional pizza. Filled with mozzarella and optional pepperoni, these indulgent snacks are perfect for parties or satisfying cravings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks or 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • 24 pepperoni slices (optional)
  • All-purpose flour, for dusting
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup bread crumbs or Italian-style bread crumbs
  • Oil for deep frying (vegetable or canola)
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  2. Cut the dough into strips wide enough to wrap around each mozzarella stick or filling.
  3. Place a mozzarella stick and a few slices of pepperoni (if using) on each strip and fold the dough over, pinching the edges to seal completely.
  4. Roll each stick in flour, dip in egg wash, then coat evenly with bread crumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully fry the pizza sticks in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
