Description

Crispy Spicy Salmon Bites are quick, flavorful, and irresistibly crunchy. Bite-sized salmon pieces are seasoned to perfection, crisped in the oven or air fryer, and tossed in a sticky, spicy hot honey glaze. Perfect for dinner, appetizers, or rice bowls—this 20-minute recipe brings bold heat and flavor to your table fast.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp hot honey (or 2 tbsp honey + 1 tsp hot sauce)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon: Toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Cook the salmon:
  3. Air Fryer: Cook at 390°F for 9–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Oven: Bake at 400°F for 16 minutes, flipping halfway. Salmon should be golden and slightly crispy.
  5. Make the glaze: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add hot honey (or honey + hot sauce) and a pinch of cayenne. Simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  6. Toss and serve: Pour the glaze over the cooked salmon bites and gently toss to coat. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add a panko coating for extra crunch.
  • Try buffalo sauce or sriracha mayo instead of hot honey for variety.
  • For a mild version, omit cayenne and use plain honey.
  • Toss salmon in glaze just before serving to keep it crispy.
