Description

Crispy Garlic Mushroom Bites are the ultimate savory snack—golden, crunchy, and packed with garlic and herb flavor. These deep-fried or oven-baked mushroom bites are perfect for parties, appetizers, or anytime you’re craving something crispy and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz mushrooms (chestnut, cremini, or button), cleaned and trimmed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup fine dried breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying (sunflower or canola)

Instructions

  1. Clean mushrooms using a damp paper towel and trim the stems as needed.
  2. Set up 3 bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each mushroom in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture. Coat well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve warm with garlic mayo, spicy aioli, or dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • Add smoked paprika or cayenne to the breadcrumbs for a spicy twist.
  • Mix in grated Parmesan for a cheesy variation.
  • Vegan version: use plant-based milk and skip the egg.
  • Can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
