This Creamy Garlic Chicken features tender, golden-seared chicken breasts in a velvety garlic-Parmesan sauce with caramelized whole garlic cloves for a subtly sweet, gourmet flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2½ cups chicken broth
- 1 beef bouillon cube (or 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon)
- 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon mustard powder
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 whole garlic cloves
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Slice each chicken breast into 2-3 thinner pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Combine flour and shredded Parmesan in a shallow dish. Dredge each chicken piece and shake off excess.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic cloves and cook for 6-7 minutes until softened and golden.
- Sprinkle flour over garlic and butter, whisk to combine, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually add chicken broth, bouillon, soy sauce, onion powder, thyme, and mustard powder, stirring continuously.
- Add heavy cream, bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Stir in grated Parmesan until melted. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top.
- Cover and simmer for 5 minutes to heat through. Garnish with parsley and serve.
