Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese (optional)
- 12 oz linguine pasta
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside to rest.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant and golden.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cream cheese (if using) until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Meanwhile, cook linguine in boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
- Slice the rested chicken and return it to the pan. Add cooked linguine and toss everything together. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Substitute linguine with fettuccine or penne for variation.
- Add spinach or steamed broccoli for extra vegetables.
- Use red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Try shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; add cream or milk when reheating.
