Description

Creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta is a rich, one-pot dinner made with tender ground beef, farfalle pasta, and a silky cream sauce. This easy, family-friendly recipe is perfect for busy weeknights—comforting, cheesy, and full of savory flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
Boil bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook until beef is browned and onions are soft. Stir in garlic and cook 1 more minute.
  3. Make the Sauce:
Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine:
Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Stir to coat evenly. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve:
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Cheese Swaps: Use mozzarella or Parmesan for variation.
  • Add Veggies: Spinach, peas, or mushrooms make great additions.
  • Make it Spicy: Add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Use Different Pasta: Penne, shells, or rotini all work just as well.
  • If reheating, add a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
