Description

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites combine gooey cinnamon rolls with the custardy texture of French toast—perfect for brunch or a sweet breakfast treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) tube canned cinnamon rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Icing from the cinnamon roll package

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
  2. Grease an 11½″‑long glass baking dish with butter.
  3. Chop each cinnamon roll into about 6 bite‑sized pieces and spread evenly in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour custard over the roll pieces, stirring gently to coat each piece.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
  7. Drizzle maple syrup over the coated rolls.
  8. Bake about 20 minutes, until golden and set.
  9. Heat the included icing until pourable and drizzle over hot bites.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, microwave for 20 seconds or bake at 350 °F for 5–7 minutes.
  • Make ahead by assembling and refrigerating overnight before baking.
