This chocolate peanut butter dirt cake is a no-bake, crowd-pleasing dessert layered with crushed Oreos, creamy peanut butter filling, and rich chocolate pudding. Perfect for potlucks, birthdays, or anytime you need an easy, indulgent sweet treat that feeds a crowd and chills to perfection.
Ingredients
- Chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 16 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided
- 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- Optional toppings: mini peanut butter cups, chocolate chips, crushed peanuts
Instructions
- Crush the cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in half the whipped topping to create a fluffy peanut butter layer.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened.
- Layer half of the cookie crumbs in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
- Spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the crumbs.
- Spoon the chocolate pudding over the peanut butter layer.
- Top with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set.
- Garnish with chopped peanut butter cups or chocolate drizzle before serving, if desired.
