Description

This chocolate peanut butter dirt cake is a no-bake, crowd-pleasing dessert layered with crushed Oreos, creamy peanut butter filling, and rich chocolate pudding. Perfect for potlucks, birthdays, or anytime you need an easy, indulgent sweet treat that feeds a crowd and chills to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 16 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided
  • 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • Optional toppings: mini peanut butter cups, chocolate chips, crushed peanuts

Instructions

  1. Crush the cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Fold in half the whipped topping to create a fluffy peanut butter layer.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  5. Layer half of the cookie crumbs in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
  6. Spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the crumbs.
  7. Spoon the chocolate pudding over the peanut butter layer.
  8. Top with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set.
  10. Garnish with chopped peanut butter cups or chocolate drizzle before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, use peanut butter or white chocolate pudding.
  • Add banana slices, chopped Reese’s, or toffee bits for extra layers of flavor.
  • Serve in mason jars or cups for individual portions.
