Description

These Chicken Avocado Ranch Burritos are packed with tender chicken, creamy avocado, and zesty ranch dressing, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, these burritos are full of fresh flavors and will satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and slice into strips.
  3. Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface.
  4. In the center of each tortilla, layer sliced chicken, avocado, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and ranch dressing.
  5. Roll up the tortillas to form burritos, folding in the sides as you go.
  6. Serve immediately with extra ranch dressing and cilantro, if desired.

Notes

  • Customization Tip: You can easily adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder or using a milder seasoning like paprika. For extra heat, add some jalapeño slices to the burrito.
  • Tortilla Variations: Feel free to swap flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas to make this recipe more suited to your dietary preferences.
  • Chicken Alternative: If you’re looking to make this dish vegetarian, consider using grilled vegetables, tofu, or a plant-based chicken alternative for a meatless version.
  • Make Ahead: You can prepare the chicken and toppings in advance and store them separately. When ready to eat, simply assemble the burritos for a quick meal.
  • Serving Suggestions: These burritos pair wonderfully with a side of chips, salsa, or a refreshing cucumber salad for a complete meal.
