Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef

- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
- 1/4 cup salsa (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the mixture thickens and is fully combined.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a flat surface, then cut it into strips (about 3-4 inches wide).
- Place a spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture in the center of each dough strip, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll the dough around the filling, making sure to seal the edges.
- Place the taco sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
- Let the taco sticks cool slightly, then serve with optional sour cream and salsa on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor and crunch, add veggies like diced bell peppers, onions, or corn to the beef mixture.
- Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a leaner option.
- Add jalapeños or spicy taco seasoning for a spicier version.
- Mozzarella or a cheese blend can be used as alternatives to cheddar.
- To make vegetarian, substitute the ground beef with black beans, lentils, or a meatless taco filling.
