Description

Cheesy Taco Sticks Delight combines the zesty flavors of tacos with melted cheese wrapped in crispy dough. These taco sticks are a crowd-pleasing snack or appetizer that’s easy to make and full of savory satisfaction.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1/4 cup salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the mixture thickens and is fully combined.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a flat surface, then cut it into strips (about 3-4 inches wide).
  5. Place a spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture in the center of each dough strip, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Roll the dough around the filling, making sure to seal the edges.
  7. Place the taco sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let the taco sticks cool slightly, then serve with optional sour cream and salsa on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor and crunch, add veggies like diced bell peppers, onions, or corn to the beef mixture.
  • Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a leaner option.
  • Add jalapeños or spicy taco seasoning for a spicier version.
  • Mozzarella or a cheese blend can be used as alternatives to cheddar.
  • To make vegetarian, substitute the ground beef with black beans, lentils, or a meatless taco filling.
