This Cheeseburger Quesadilla is a delicious fusion of juicy cheeseburgers and crispy quesadillas, featuring seasoned beef, melty cheddar, pickles, and a tangy burger sauce all wrapped in golden tortillas.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 8 cheddar cheese slices
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup (plus extra for beef)
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard (plus extra for beef)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Season beef with salt and pepper. Stir in ketchup and mustard to taste.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper to make the burger sauce. Set aside.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place a tortilla in the skillet, layer with a slice of cheddar cheese, beef mixture, pickle slices, another slice of cheese, and top with another tortilla.
- Cook until the bottom tortilla is golden brown, then flip carefully and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and both sides are crispy.
- Remove from skillet, let rest for 1 minute, then slice into wedges. Serve with the special sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Don’t overfill the quesadilla to avoid sogginess.
- Use plant-based meat and vegan cheese for a vegetarian version.
- Reheat in a skillet or oven for best texture; avoid microwave.
- Customize with different cheeses or add jalapeños for heat.
