Description

Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are a crispy, golden twist on a classic American favorite, combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and pickles wrapped in a crunchy egg roll shell. Perfect as an appetizer or game-day snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup American or cheddar cheese, chopped or shredded
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing wrappers)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic to the pan; cook until softened and fragrant.
  3. Stir in chopped pickles, cheese, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Let the cheese melt and the mixture cool slightly.
  4. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center, fold in the sides, and roll tightly, sealing the edge with beaten egg.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the egg rolls to avoid breakage.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen for later use.
  • Bake instead of frying for a healthier option.
  • Use ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for variations.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
