Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
- 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp butter (melted, for brushing)
- ¼ tsp garlic powder (for brushing)
- 1 tsp dried parsley flakes (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter with a pastry cutter or fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add milk and stir just until combined—do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spaced evenly.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
- Meanwhile, mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley.
- Brush warm biscuits generously with the garlic butter mixture. Serve immediately.
